Deep Contact :  Osteo Wuo Tai massage, Rolling Compression &  Contact Improvisation,

avec Carey Jeffries

From a progressive floorwork warm up,
we will review the 5 basic fundamental principes of Contact Improvisation : Pressure, weight, rolling point, levels & portés, postures for climbing and falling including security, plus our alternating intention of giving and receiving or not reacting, at all, nor ignoring our phsycological interior reaction, which can touch on our interpersonal relational aspect. such as our Poly Vagal nervous system.

Introduction ofWuo Tai massage (cousin of Thai massage). Guided practice wirh partner of sevreral Who Tai sequences.

Rolling Compression a practice that bridges massage and dance evolving us into Deep Contact::
Contact Impovisation wirh influence of Buto dance (slow and interieur motion)
and Wuo Tai or Thai massage.

We will finish with dome Circling (concious dialogue) in small groups then enlarging to a single group circle to exchange.

Global Underscore is an annual international event and practice of contact improvisation in a free structure created by Nancy Stark Smith and Globaly developed in France by Claire Filmon.

Initiation of sequences at 3 p.m. one hour before departure at 4 p.m.

(Pratiques somatiques et relationnelles)

D’un échauffement progressif au sol,
nous passerons en revue les 5 principes fondamentaux de base du Contact Improvisation : Pression, poids, point de roulement, niveaux & portés, postures pour grimper sauter et tomber y compris la sécurité, à notre alternance intention de donner et recevoir ou ne pas réagir, du tout, ne pas ignorer nos réaction intérieure physiologique, qui peut toucher à l’aspect relationnel interpersonnel.

Introduction au massage Wuo Tai cousin du massage thaïlandais. Pratique guidée avec partenaire de plusieurs séquences enchaîné .

Rolling Compression un pratique que serve comme un pont entre le massage et le danse pour nous amenez vers le Deep Contact : Contact Improvisation
avec influence de la danse Buto -motricité relanti et concience intérieure et le massage Wuo Tai ou Thai.

Nous finirons avec le
Circling – dialogue conscient en petits groupes évoluant vers un seul grand échange de cercle de groupe

Projet  2022  Corps / Objet / Dance

Initially studied Fine Art in London and Canterbury. UK. under the sculptor Antony Caro. Following a series of performances with sculpture Carey focused on dance and bodywork, essentially through Butoh dance initially Influenced by dancer Lindsey Kemp a, (Min Tanaka & Mai Juku -Body Weather, Masaki Iwana, Tetsuro Fukuhara, Sumako Koseki and Carlotta Ikeda, Atsushi Tekanauchi) in Spain, France and in Japan. Since 2000 studied also Contact Improvisation and Improvisation with : Yann L`heureux, Emmanuelle Grivet, Félix Rukert, Kirstie Simpson, Daniel Lepkopff, Nancy Stark Smith, Claire Filmon Nora Hajos, Steve Paxton… Parallel studies in Yoga : Ashtanga (Caroline Boulanguez & Gerald Disse) Vinyasa (Yvon Lebbihi & Gerard Arnaud) Yin (Biff Mithoefer) Acro Yoga (Jason Nemmer Pau Castellegue…) Thai Massage (Yohann Guichard) Wuo Tai (Roland Combes) Thailand and France.

Collaborates with other artists & musicians, which include more than 20 solos in festival in Europe Japan South Africa and India.

Founded Studio Keller in 2010-2018 with Fabienne Menjucq.

Present research is in developing ‘Deep Contact’- a style of Contact Improvisation with the influence of Butoh , Yoga and massage.

Continues a related activity of drawings of dance movement.
